How numbers are formatted in downloaded reports

When you download a report, the numbers in the comma separated values (CSV) file use either a period (.) or a comma (,) as a decimal separator, depending on your language. For example, to represent one thousand dollars, some languages use $1,000.00 and others use $1.000,00. Check the lists below to see whether your language uses a period or a comma to format numbers in downloaded reports.
As long as your computer is set to use the same language as you use to view AdSense, Excel should import your CSV file correctly. However, if you use different languages (for example, you use Windows in French but view AdSense in English), Excel may format your numbers incorrectly. If you experience this formatting issue, we suggest changing your AdSense language to match your computer's language.
